
This course develops digital technology and computer programming skills for solving problems and creating projects. Students learn coding concepts, investigate artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies, and apply critical thinking and digital citizenship to evaluate how digital tools are designed and used in society.

This course extends students' computer science knowledge through modular design, advanced programming, and fully documented software projects. Students plan and manage a large development project, analyze algorithm effectiveness, and investigate ethical issues, emerging technologies, environmental concerns, research areas, and careers in computing.
Prerequisite: Introduction to Computer Science, Grade 11, University Preparation

This course introduces computer science through software design and problem solving. Students create programs using industry-standard tools, apply the software development life cycle, use subprograms, and examine computing environments, environmental and ergonomic issues, emerging research, and computer-related careers.
