
This course emphasizes regular participation in enjoyable physical activities that support lifelong healthy active living. Students refine movement skills, improve personal competence and fitness, and examine healthy sexuality, healthy eating, substance use, decision making, conflict resolution, and social skills.

Students plan, organize, and safely implement recreational and healthy active living activities, mentor others, and examine pathways related to physical education, health, recreation, leisure, and fitness leadership.
